Acanthus - Branimir Medic & Pero Puljiz (Architekten Cie.)

January 2004

Acanthus is a striking sculptural appearance among the office towers near Amsterdam Bijlmermeer station. A rectangular court garden is closed in by a ring-like horizontal volume. Three towers of different height are placed on the horizontal volume. The steeping garden bridges the high between the ground surface and the railway-embankment. Under the spectacular hanging-over the garden can be seen from the public road. Under the garden is the parking located. The facade panels have a relief of acanthus leaves printed on them. The relief with the use of duo colour makes that the building change colour, depending the sight angel and the weather conditions.
