The Projectmanagementbureau Amsterdam announces a restricted procedure for the architectural design Renovation and New Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art Amsterdam. The brief consist the construction/architectural design for the new housing of the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art at the Museumplein (ca 9.000m2 gross floor space), building and tender specifications, and (aesthetic) building management. It also includes the brief for the renovation of the Weisman building, the old part of the museum (12.500 m2 gross floor space).
All offices with an annual turnover of more than 2 million Euro are invited to participate. The tender is published on April 27 in the Official Journal of the European Union. The digital selection guide can be withdrawn by PKB rene.vankooi(at)pkb.nl
In June a selection of five architects will be made. They will be invited to make a sketch design. The final decision will be in September.
