Strootman Landschapsarchitecten have received an honorary mention in the scope of the Torsanlorenzo International Prize for Landscape design and protection. Strootman received this prize for their design of the Water Purification Park Het Lankheet in the Netherlands.

Strootman recently received the prize in Rome. The prize, sponsored by the Italian National Commission for UNESCO and in accordance with the UN decade of Sustainable Development Education (2005-2014), presents ideas that go beyond the goals of protection and preservation of green spaces.
