Architectural Critics Prizes for Oase and Rietveld’s Universe

The International Committee of Architectural Critics (CICA) presents the winners of the 2011 Book, Exhibition Catalogue and Journalism Awards, as they were announced at the CICA Symposium held within the UIA World Congress Tokyo 2011 on September 28th in the Tokyo International Forum.

The international jury consisted of: Joseph Rykwert (USA/UK), Manuel Cuadra (Germany), Sengül Gür (Turkey), Louise Noelle (Mexico), Jennifer Taylor (Australia)

The CICA Pierre Vago Journalism Award 2011 has been assigned to the magazine:
– Tom Avermaete, David de Bruijn, Joachim Declerck, Job Floris, Christoph Grafe, Klaske Havik, Anne Holtrop, Johan Lagae, Ruben Molendijk, Véronique Patteeuw, Hans Teerds, Gus Tielens, Tom Vandeputte (eds.), Oase # 81, Constructing Criticism, NAi Publishers, Rotterdam 2010.

The CICA Julius Posener Exhibition Catalogue Award 2011 has been assigned jointly to:
– Rob Dettingmeijer, Marie-Thérèse van Thoor, Ida van Zijl (ed.),
Rietveld's Universe, exhib. cat. Utrecht (Centraal Museum Utrecht), NAi Publishers, Rotterdam 2010.
and
– Aydan Balamir (ed.), Clemens Holzmeister. Çagin Dönümünde Bir Mimar. Architect at the Turn of an Era, exhib. cat.
