BK Talks. Pedagogies of Indigenism
Lezing / Debat
On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition Indigenous Intelligence: ancient Knowledge, current design, this BK Talks will explore how Indigenous knowledge can shape not only the way we design but also the way we teach and learn.
What does it mean to imagine pedagogies of Indigenism in architectural education? How can we build spaces for learning that are grounded in reciprocity, collective memory, and respect for ecological systems? And how can Indigenous worldviews challenge dominant narratives of progress, technology, and development?
All contributors to the exhibition — students, PhD researchers, and educators — are invited to participate in this conversation, sharing their experiences, reflections, and ways of working. Together with the audience, we will discuss how alternative forms of knowledge and storytelling can enter architectural education not as inspiration alone, but as methods, practices, and shared responsibilities.
