IFHP x VDM Learning Labs

Online

As the housing crisis deepens globally, alternative housing models offer promising solutions to address affordability, sustainability, and inclusivity. This second session of the Learning Labs will explore two key models—Community Land Trusts (CLTs) and Cooperative Housing—while also providing a comparative analysis of these models in different contexts.

Founder of And The People, Thieme Hennis specializes in Community Land Trusts (CLTs), advocating for long-term housing affordability and community ownership. His work focuses on participatory urban development, empowering communities to shape their housing future.

Tijmen Kuyper
Researcher at BREiNN and advisor at CoWonen, Tijmen Kuyper develops cooperative housing solutions. He will present Delta Domus, the world’s first floating social housing project—an affordable, climate-adaptive model with a Beheercoöperatie (management cooperative) for resident co-governance.

Philip Krabbendam
