TALKS with Atelier Abraha Achermann
Lezing / Debat
Atelier Abraha Achermann is an international practice for architecture and urbanism based in Zurich – Switzerland. Founded by Daniel Abraha and Stephan Achermann in 2010, the practice works on a wide range of scales, from exhibition projects to large- scale social housing. Regarding every architectural task as a singular condition, specific answers are being developed in iterative processes, focusing on the correlation of context, space, structure and material. The two partners have previously worked for Buchner Bründler Architekten, Gabriella Mazza and Daniel Pokora and Herzog & de Meuron. They have also both taught at several Swiss universities, including ETH.
TALKS about architecture invites a new generation of architects to talk about their work. What they have in common is that they see architecture as an artistic discipline. The social relevance of the work stems from the poetic and spatial qualities of the work itself. TALKS is an initiative of Rotterdam-based architecture firm De Kort Van Schaik and is organised in collaboration with AIR. More info on talks-about-architecture.eu.
