Waterfront Prerov, Tsjechie
Prijsvraag
An open international landscape contest is being held to upgrade a prominent waterfront site currently occupied by the disused Hotel Strojař in Přerov, Czechia
The two-stage competition – organised by the Centre for Central European Architecture (CCEA MOBA) – will select a design team to redevelop the riverfront site of the 1960s hotel in the centre of the settlement which is located around 225km southeast of Prague.
The project will create a new residential complex to replace the Radim Pluskal and Karel Typovsky-designed concrete panel complex which was originally constructed to house workers of the nearby Přerov Machine Works and was later used as starter flats for soldiers before being sold to the city council eight years ago.
