Wooden Self-Build Workshop
Oproep
Camposaz, in collaboration with Bivio980, is organizing a self-build workshop in Monastero, a small hamlet in the municipality of Cessapalombo (MC).
The project aims to design and construct a few wooden installations that enhance the surrounding landscape and create shared spaces for community gathering.
Monastero is a village that has long suffered from depopulation, a condition further aggravated by the 2016 earthquake. The village is made up of about 70 houses, with fewer than 10 permanent residents throughout the year. However, during the summer months, the village comes back to life with the arrival of vacationers and travelers walking the Grande Anello dei Sibillini and the Cammino Francescano della Marca.
This intervention aims to design and build a few structures that foster social interaction, strengthen the local community, and enhance the village’s hospitality and livability. Participants will take part in a hands-on experience that is not only educational, but also an opportunity to explore new ways of living and contribute to reactivating the area.
The exchange of perspectives, visions, and needs between participants and the local community—already involved in the process—will be a vital thread running through every phase of the workshop.
