Key Responsibilities:
- Having worked on all stages from concept to completion, the successful candidate will report on a day-to-day basis to Project Leads and other design colleagues to troubleshoot and provide creative solutions to design challenges
- The candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to tight timescales and deadlines with a positive and proactive approach
- This person will be expected to contribute to client presentations and project meetings and occasionally act as client liaison/ interface throughout project stages
- As the team is small, the candidate will be well-rounded, providing design support to the team as required to prepare material for client presentations, including concepts, spatial layouts, mood boards and FF&E selection
- The candidate will have experience in preparing technical drawing packs for tender, producing detailed construction documentation and schedules
- Confident working within client budgets, the candidate will ensure adherence to this budget and inform the Project Manager/ Lead Designer of any potential variances
- The individual will be expected to review construction work on site as required, respond to RFI’s, attend site progress meetings and liaise with PM and contractors
Qualifications and Key Competencies:
- A creative thinker and passionate Workplace designer with 3+ years of experience working in a workplace design and/or architecture firm in a similar role
- A proven degree in architecture, interior design, engineering or similar
- Strong communication skills, both visual, written and verbal (English). Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus, along with knowledge of local Dutch building regulations
- Experience within a fast-paced project environment with the ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure
- Experience working on multiple projects at a time, across all stages. Specific knowledge of European suppliers and processes is desirable
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe suite essential
- The candidate must be a real team player, keen to work both in a collaborative working environment as well as comfortable operating independently.
