MLA+ is offering an exciting internship opportunity at our Rotterdam office for aspiring Urban Designers and Landscape Designers who are eager to engage with real-world, impactful design work. Our internships are hands-on and provide the chance to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects—ranging from urban neighbourhoods and public spaces to regional and strategic visions across the globe.
At MLA+, we approach urban and landscape design from a multidisciplinary, cross-cultural perspective that prioritises the integration of place, policy, and people. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with our international team of urbanists and architects, participating in design research, conceptual development, and technical execution across different project stages.
Who are we looking for
- Master’s student in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related field
- Available for a minimum of 5–6 months
- Strong conceptual, graphic, and design research skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with working knowledge of Rhino, AutoCAD, GIS, or SketchUp considered a plus
- A passion for cities and hands-on drawing skills.
- Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced team setting
- Fluent in English (Fluent in two or more Languages is a big plus).
- Eligibility to work in the Netherlands (EU citizenship or valid work permit).
- Knowledge of GIS is a plus.
